Week 1
1) Get to know Mrs. Brister with Google Slide presentation.
2) 'Round the Room to get to know students.
3) Discuss some of the things we will be doing this year in Idea Lab. Theme: Robots
4) Students complete "All About Me" handout.
Week 2
1) Discuss rules, consequences, rewards (incentives), and procedures of the Idea Lab. Show Google Slide presentation explaining each.
2) Practice coming in and being seated on the couch and at the tables.
3) Give students their folders and Idea Lab rules. Explain the materials needed to bring every week to class.

Week 3
1) Review rules, procedures, and consequences with a game of digital Kahoot!
2) Set up Idea Lab student folders.

Weeks 4 & 5
1) Begin discussing Digital Citizenship...watch video #1
2) What is your Digital Footprint? Watch video #2, Discuss
3) Students work on their own viewing Digital Citizenship clips on Digital Etiquette, Online Safety, Cyberbullying, Information Privacy, and Plagiarism. After each clip, you will answer the questions on Quiz (graded) and record the # of questions they earned correct on the sheet provided. Follow the directions at the bottom of the sheet to figure your total score.

Week 6
1) Students work on their own viewing Digital Citizenship clips on Digital Etiquette, Online Safety, Cyberbullying, Information Privacy, and Plagiarism. After each clip, you will answer the questions on Quiz (graded) and record the # of questions they earned correct on the sheet provided. Follow the directions at the bottom of the sheet to figure your total score.
2) Play Digital Citizenship game to review rules and make good decisions about scenarios given.

Weeks 7-8
1) Guided tour of Google Docs with students
2) Locate & discuss various tools on the toolbar
3) Create an "All About Me" Document.

Week 9 & 10
1) Use logic and reasoning skills to help Snail Bob through each challenge.
2) If you finish the challenges of Snail Bob 1, you may go to Snail Bob 2 & 3.
Week 11
Students investigate the world of Macaroni & Cheese as they enhance their research skills as well as their reading skills.
Week 12
1) Test your various skills using some fun Halloween online games. Click on the link below to go to site where you can try out different games to test your logic and reasoning skills.

Weeks 13-15
For the next 3 weeks, students will work on a Google Slide presentation "Book Talk" on their favorite book.

Students create a Google Doc poem on the Twelve Days of Christmas in the Idea Lab
Weeks 17 & 18
1) Discuss Shark Tank project
2) Watch Shark Tank excerpts
3) Show students some of the inventions/products that have become famous.
4) Students should use the Christmas break to brainstorm ideas for their Shark Tank projects
5) Choose partners.
Weeks 19 - 29
1) Review Shark Tank project
2) Watch Shark Tank excerpts
3) Discuss vocabulary related to the project.
